About Dr. Chattha
Dr. Harpreet Chattha is a clinical psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) and is also a member of the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA). Dr. Chattha has previously worked at the Mood and Anxiety Program (Anxiety Disorders Clinic and Mood Disorders Clinic) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), the Shared Mental Health Care team at The Ottawa Hospital and at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
She sees both adolescents and adults within the domains of clinical psychology and rehabilitation psychology. Both evidence-based assessment and treatment is provided for a variety of presenting issues, including depression, anxiety, chronic pain, low self-esteem, work stress, eating disorders and trauma. She also is able to provide assessment for psychoeducational and psychodiagnostic purposes.
Dr. Chattha offers individual therapy using a cognitive-behavioural framework. This type of therapy is collaborative in nature and is skills-based. Dr. Chattha also has training in other forms of therapy (e.g., interpersonal psychotherapy, integrity-based) and is able to flexibly incorporate other models depending on the nature of the presenting difficulties experienced by the patient. Therapy with adolescents may or may not involve other family members to support therapeutic efforts. Dr. Chattha also has provided group therapy in the past and this may be a therapy option for patients in the future. She practices in the North York and Vaughan area.
